Neil Surtees built his first boat three decades ago, and his design ethos and commitment to the craft have seen Surtees become a trusted brand in the industry. Innovating with the steel hull and moving into aluminium construction, Surtees now has over 7000 boats in the water, each built to the highest standard.

Designed from a practical position with an eye to elegant design, the Surtees range is built applying the same techniques that were developed in the original approach. Utilising a water ballast system that ensures stability at rest, as well as additional comfort through rougher weather and choppy water.
The entire Surtees range is built with a total of six longitudinal stringers, three welded on either side of the keel before the sides of the boat are added in. Innovating with a construction process that is both lightweight and built to last, Surtees boats are created without the requirement for extra lift. With health and safety always at the forefront, our boat builders are paired with experienced trainers in order to ensure an optimum result.

Surtees produce the Workmate range to address the need for a tough, easy-to-handle boat that is suitable for anyone from the newer boatie all the way through to the pro. These stable, fishing-friendly boats are practical, quick to clean and work hard to give you a great day out on the water.

I have recently bought a Surtees 540 and what amazing service I had from start to finish.
I was on a tight budget and Isabell helped me make it work, we sat down looking at what I could afford and what would be easiest to add later on all within my budget. While the boat was being built I had lots of questions and Isabell always picked up the phone and answered any questions I had. Also while the boat was being built I was shown photos of the process from start to finish! This was very exciting! Not only was it a great service but the boat was built a month before the date it was scheduled! And this gave me the opportunity to take it out on the long weekend. I was also helped with insurance for my boat that got me out on the water quicker. I have to say Surtees are an amazing team that made my dreams come true. So stoked with my new 650 Game Fisher. I ended up dealing direct with Surtees and I can only say it was an awesome experience. Right throughout the build process we were kept up to date with progress photos and that made the wait so much easier.
